Director vacancy in District 4
Due to a resignation, the Jo-Carroll Energy Board of Directors has declared a vacancy for Director District 4.
JCE’s board of directors will appoint a member-owner from District 4 to serve the remaining portion of the current term of office for that district, which ends at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the cooperative.
Letters announcing the vacancy are being mailed to all members within District 4. The cooperative is accepting applications from eligible members in District 4 who are interested in being appointed to the position.
The board’s executive committee, the cooperative’s president and CEO and the cooperative’s general counsel will review applications to ensure applicants meet the eligibility requirements for directors contained in the cooperative’s bylaws. For a list of these requirements, please refer to the cooperative’s bylaws.
In addition, the board’s Executive Committee may conduct in-person interviews of applicants as part of the appointment process. The appointment will be made by the Jo-Carroll Energy Board of Directors.
The appointed director will have the opportunity to run for additional terms as outlined in the cooperative’s bylaws.
