Jo-Carroll Energy offers several convenient ways for co-op members to make payments.
Online Bill Pay
Our online bill payment system, found on the MyAccount Member Services Portal, is a secure, Web-based application that allows members to view their account online, and make payments by credit card, debit card or electronic draft from a checking or savings account. You will need your member number and password to access your billing account online. Your password assigned by Jo-Carroll Energy is located on your billing statement. Pay your bill now
Automatic Draft Deductions
Members can make arrangements to have their balance due automatically deducted from their checking or savings account or billed to a credit card each month. Your Jo-Carroll Energy bill shows the date and amount of your payment. This will give you ample time to ensure you have adequate funds in your account. The payment will appear on your checking or savings statement. Visit the Auto Draft Page for more information and to download an authorization form.
Budget Billing or Levelized Billing
A budget billing plan allows you to pay the same amount each month. The amount is set based on your previous 12 months of service. Each spring and fall your payments are recalculated to determine if your budget billing payment needs to be adjusted. This true-up recalculation may result in an increase or decrease in your budget billing.
Levelized billing is very different from budget billing. Because a "rolling average" method is used, your amount due will vary from month to month. Although levelized billing can help take the shock out of your electric bill during extremely cold or hot weather, your electric bill will not be the exact same amount each month.
What is better for me, budget billing or levelized billing?
Ask yourself these questions to see which one would work better for you:

Choose budget billing.
- Do you want to guard against large fluctuations in your monthly bill without ever having to play "catch-up"?

Pay by Phone
Members can pay by telephone 24 hours a day by calling 800-858-5522. Make sure you have your account information available when you call. You can pay by e-check -- directly out of your checking or savings account -- or by Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
Pay by Mail
Enclose your payment in the envelope provided with your bill, add a stamp and drop in the mail. If you don't have the address for payments, please send to:

You can pay in person at one of our offices located in Elizabeth, Savanna or drop off your payment at our office, or use one of the secure drop boxes after-hours.
