Concern for Community

As your local energy and broadband cooperative, Jo-Carroll Energy is here to support our members during the coronavirus pandemic.

JCE is dedicated to living up to the trust our members place in us to deliver safe and reliable energy and broadband services. Driven by a commitment to our communities, we are working to do what is in the best interest of all our members.

By closing our lobbies and limiting our service calls to outages and emergencies, we are limiting direct exposure of our members and employees. All our employees are practicing social distancing to do what we can to decrease the likelihood of illness.

Members are still able to pay their bills and conduct other necessary business through our Member Services Portal, by phone, by mail, the drive-thru window at our Elizabeth office, and the secure drop boxes at each of our locations in Elizabeth, Savanna and Geneseo.

Every effort is being made to assist our members who may be struggling financially during this time. Starting immediately Jo-Carroll Energy will temporarily cease disconnections for non-payment and suspend late payment fees or penalties for electric, natural gas and broadband so that you can focus on your most essential needs.

We will work with members who need assistance on an individual basis. Please call the cooperative at 800-858-5522 to discuss payment arrangement options and to learn about assistance programs that may be available to you.  Residential members are also encouraged to call their respective Energy Assistance Agency:

Jo Daviess County - Northwestern Illinois Community Action Agency (NICAA): 1-815-232-3141

Carroll and Whiteside Counties - Tri-County Opportunities Council: 1-800-323-45434

Henry County: Project NOW - 1-309-852-4565

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together to navigate these uncertain times.
